Core is small-group strength coaching built around a packed schedule. Every workout is programmed for you and coached in person — so you walk in, train hard for 45 minutes, and get on with your day. No guesswork. No wasted reps. Just steady, measurable strength.
Why he calls Core the best decision he's ever made.
For thirty years we were sold a lie — that more sweat means more progress, that the point of a workout is to burn as many calories as possible. So we ran ourselves into the ground chasing exhaustion, and wondered why nothing ever stuck.
The science has caught up. Strength is the highest-leverage thing you can train. It protects your joints, your energy, your metabolism, and your body for decades — and it's the one result that actually compounds. When your time is limited, that makes it the single best return you can get on an hour.
We train strength. Programmed, coached, and progressed over time —
so every session moves you forward instead of just wearing you out.
Forget the before-and-after photos. This is what consistent, coached strength training actually gives a busy adult — the kind of results that show up at work, at home, and in how you feel every single day.
Knee pain. Back pain. The shoulder that hurts when you reach for a coffee mug. Most of it isn't from age — it's from weakness in the wrong places. Members regularly tell us pain they'd lived with for 3, 4, even 10 years simply disappears once we rebuild the strength around it.
The sport you quit after the injury. The hike you used to love. The thing your kids ask you to do that you've started saying no to. When strength comes back, capability comes back — and so does the willingness to say yes to your life.
Adults who never lifted seriously in their 20s often hit their actual peak strength in their 40s and 50s — when they finally train under a real coach with a real program. This isn't theory. It's what happens when you stop chasing sweat and start building capacity.
You've quit gyms before. Probably more than three. The difference at Core isn't motivation or willpower — it's that you start to belong somewhere. Members who used to skip whole months don't skip Tuesdays anymore. The room pulls you back.
Kyle has coached adults in Ayer, MA since 2013 — and across the Nashoba Valley since 2006. Nearly 20 years building programs around real careers, real families, and real schedules.
Father of three. Husband. Natural competitive bodybuilder. Honorary Fitness Integrator with a U.S. Army interrogation unit at Fort Devens. He's not a franchise. He's the guy.
When you train at Core, I'm the one coaching you. Same as it's been for 12 years.Book Your Free Session →
Most of our members didn't come looking for "a workout." They came because they were tired of paying for gyms they never used, tired of guessing what to do, tired of spending their most limited resource — time — and getting nothing back for it.
Before you ever swipe a card, you spend 45 minutes in person with Kyle — 20+ years coaching, 20,000+ hours on the floor. No pitch. No pressure. Just a real coach mapping exactly where you stand and the fastest path forward — so you never waste another workout guessing.
Unlimited sessions, multiple times a day, starting at 5AM — so you can train before work, after drop-off, or on your way in. Pick the times that fit your week, and you're in and out in under an hour.

A note on commitment: We don't do drop-ins or 30-day trials. Core members commit for 12 months — because that's how long it takes to build real, lasting strength and make showing up automatic. And it's risk-free to start: if the first two weeks aren't right, you get every dollar back — no questions asked (more on that below).
Most gyms are quiet. Heads down. Earbuds in. Our gym is loud. People know each other by name — and they notice when you're not there, which is exactly why members show up even when work blows up. We've trained together for years, through COVID, job changes, and life. Two of our members even met here and live together now.
I've been at Ross Fitness for 1 year and never missed a class. Throughout my life I would start going to the gym and then quit after a few months. Don't make the same mistakes as me and spend your time idling at a conventional gym.
At 40 I am the strongest and have the best range of motion I have ever had. This is someone who did martial arts, rock climbing, cycling, hiking, trail running for years. Really an excellent gym and owner that will challenge you and keep you coming back.
In one year I've made more progress than I did in years of working out at other gyms. The same pattern kept happening: join a gym, start making progress, sustain an injury. At Ross Fitness, Kyle and Garrett designed the perfect program for my body. All my lower back pain has disappeared.
I was really nervous about joining a gym but Kyle made it so easy. He felt like my friend from day one. I never felt intimidated or out of place. I've gained so much confidence and feel like I have a brand new body. 10 out of 10.
I joined Ross Fitness 15 months ago. 22 pounds and 17 inches in my first 4 months. I'm in my mid-40s and I'm in the best shape of my life. I was suffering from knee pain for about 4 years prior to joining — it is completely gone. This is the only gym I've ever been able to commit to.
I was looking for a trainer with experience rehabbing athletic injury — in my case ACL reconstruction. Kyle worked with and around my doctor's rehab protocol to come up with fun, innovative and comprehensive workouts that got me back on track.
Train with us for two full weeks. If you don't feel coached, welcomed, and clear on where you're headed — we refund every dollar.
Pick a time that works for your schedule, and we'll start with a quick call to make sure we're a fit. If we are, you'll come in for a full strength & movement assessment — then we map out exactly what your training should look like. 45 minutes, in person, zero pressure.
We accept just 4 new Core members per month to protect the quality of coaching in the room. If we're a fit, we'll hold your spot.
Core is a premium semi-private coaching program. Membership pricing is tailored to your training frequency and goals, and we'll walk through it together in your session. The session itself is completely free.
